How to Find Your TOPDON Tool Name and Serial Number

Use the guide below to find your tool name and the correct serial number to enter when purchasing a software update or when TOPDON Support asks for it.

Step 1: Find Your Tool Name and Main Tool Serial Number

  1. Turn the main tool over.
  2. Find the product label on the back.
  3. Locate the tool or model name printed on the label.
  4. Look for the Serial Number, S/N, SN, or the serial number near the barcode.

Keep the tool name handy. You will use it to determine which serial number to enter below.

Step 2: Which Serial Number Should You Use?

T-Ninja Pro Main tool serial number
AD Moto Main tool serial number

How to Find the Serial Number on the Main Tool

  1. Turn the main device over.
  2. Find the product label on the back.
  3. Look for Serial Number, S/N, SN, or the serial number near the barcode.
  4. Enter the serial number exactly as shown.

Use the main tool serial number for AD900Lite, UltraDiag, T-Ninja Pro, AD Moto, and wired tools that do not use a separate VCI.

How to Find the Serial Number on the VCI

  1. Find the VCI that plugs into the vehicle’s DLC/OBD port.
  2. Turn the VCI over and check the back or side.
  3. Find the sticker or printed label with the serial number.
  4. Enter the serial number exactly as shown.

For Phoenix Series software updates, use the VCI serial number.
