I bought a Topscan Lite scanner several months ago. Overall, I like it, and for the price the value is fantastic. It's a great choice for a DIYer who works on multiple vehicle brands.

IMO the best features of the tool are:

- Access to all modules for reading and clearing DTCs and reading live data

- The user interface is easy to navigate and the reports are professional and easy to read

- Topdon Support is excellent

- Great value for the price

Negatives:

- The tool stopped working for a couple of weeks; it would not connect to any of the vehicles I tried to use it on (Topdon had a notice out that they were working on their servers during that time)

- Relatively few resets / special functions

- I found it to be missing some bidirectional controls that I would have liked to have had

- Requires an active subscription for all functions other than genericic OBD

I recently upgraded my subscription to Topscan Pro, which was very easy. I can now use T-Darts for testing keys, immobilizer antennas, etc., which is very handy.

I renewed the software recently for a $100.00.

The tool is impressive to me for it's cheap price. I am just an avid DIY. It scans every module the car has and has software for practically every car/small truck available.

I just wish you could export the recorded parameters during road tests, that would making viewing easier for looking at irregular readings.

That is available on the high tier scan tool though.
