I bought mine with the heavy duty kit and I am having a blast using it all day jumping from HD to cars .Two complaints I cant figure out ..! 1 when I make a report its clocks miles with km ? @ I cant delete the programs I don't want completely as when I do they come right back for and update .Other than that it has been serving me very much more than expected .If you could fix my two little issues I would rate it a six

Coming from autel and a snap on Zues +, this is a huge upgrade. The topology is easy to read and very helpful to see what parts of a network went down. Super helpful on the Ram/Jeep/Dodge vehicles where we see constant weird electrical issues.

I programmed a PCM on a 14 CRV with the remote programming, and it took like 10 minutes, did everything by itself, just had to follow some prompts. I wish it programmed ford and Chevy, but I’m sure they’ll add that at some point.

The only real beef I have with the machine is for live data, if you’re trying to just see all the data in a module and there’s a couple pages of PIDs, it doesn’t load all the pages, you have to scroll down, wait for the next page to load. They want you to select which pids specifically you want to see.

It would just be nice if you could see everything all at once, for those weird drive ability issues with no codes, intermittent issues, etc.

but overall, super super impressed. It’s my main scanner now, sold the snap on, and selling the autel soon.

I absolutely love my phoenix smart .. only complaint is I'd give access to the smaller Adas functions like calibrating Toyota parking sensors and dynamic windshield calibrations in GM products ... but of course anything that requires a target leave locked behind the Adas programming

But the software updates need a price adjustment personally ...

In the aftermarket the cars we see are typically 3+ years older and out of warranty.

It's 2026 ... which means I likely won't see 2026 models till 2029+

So at this point I could just save the $780 for 3 years

So when I start seeing those 2026 models I can take that money and just buy a new $2,300 phoenix smart and still have $40 left over ..

As an aftermarket scan tool your incentivized to keep your updates lower costed which makes it easier for me to justify spending the money ..

$400 a year. ... sure I'll keep paying that cause I'm the long run it's just cheaper and easier to keep a warranty ..

Vs just saving the $800 for 2 years and on the 3rd year just buy a new tool ..

I buy a new tool today .

2026 ...

Updates free till 2028 .

2029 I skip the updates since I can already service 2028 now ... 2031 I buy a completely new tool ... and repeat ... just makes more sense in the aftermarket ..

I LOVE my Smart and will continue using it .
